BEGIN AGAIN COUNSELING
ABOUT US
Founded in 2021, Begin Again Counseling was established with a simple mission: to provide compassionate, high-quality care for individuals and couples navigating mental health challenges and life's obstacles. As the practice grew, so did our vision.
In 2023, founder Michelle Kunick returned to her passion for serving individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. By reconnecting with the recovery community, she began developing a comprehensive program in Georgetown, Kentucky, focused on meeting the unique needs of those seeking lasting recovery and healing.
As that work expanded, it became increasingly clear that many individuals and families were struggling to access the coordinated support they needed. In response, Begin Again Counseling broadened its services in 2024 to address the gaps between mental health care, substance use treatment, and community support.
Today, Begin Again Counseling is a multidisciplinary behavioral health agency providing holistic, client-centered services for individuals, couples, families, businesses, and the broader community. Our team includes licensed therapists, peer support specialists, targeted case managers, community support associates, and other highly trained professionals who work together to provide comprehensive, personalized care.
We believe that healing happens when people have access to the right support at the right time. Whether you're seeking counseling, recovery services, care coordination, or community-based support, we're here to help you overcome barriers, build resilience, and move forward with confidence.
We invite you to explore our Services pages to learn more about the programs we offer and discover how Begin Again Counseling can help you—or someone you care about—take the next step toward healing, hope, and a new beginning.

Michelle Kunick, Owner/CEO
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing concerns related to addiction, substance use, trauma, codependency, relationship issues, and other life transitions.
I believe therapy is most effective when it is built on trust, collaboration, and respect. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, meaning I work alongside you to identify your goals, build on your existing strengths, and develop the tools needed to create lasting change. Every person's story is unique, and I tailor treatment to meet your individual needs while providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel supported throughout the process.
I earned my Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from Campbellsville University and my Bachelor of Arts in English from Eastern Kentucky University.
In addition to providing therapy, I am a board-approved clinical supervisor for Master's-level clinicians, Certified Social Workers (CSWs), and those pursuing LCSW licensure. I value the opportunity to mentor and support the next generation of social workers as they grow in their clinical practice.
Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your relationship, or your family, I would be honored to partner with you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting well-being.
